Lenders agree to extend provisions under credit facilities

On Oct. 12, YRC Worldwide announced that our lending group extended until Oct. 30 important provisions of our last bank amendment. It's another sequential step that provides us additional flexibility as we continue working with our lenders to reach a global solution that fully supports our comprehensive plan. The new amendments extend the expiration of the revolver reserve amount and extend the suspension of the minimum liquidity covenant and the due date for the asset-backed securitization (ABS) commitment fee. The action shows our lending group continues to support our comprehensive plan.

YRCW continues to be a leading IT innovator, placing 62nd on an annual list of the nation's most innovative users of business technology. The company was recognized for its new application, the Pricing and Activity Management System.

YRC Glen Moore: First place winner in ATA safety competition

YRC Glen Moore tractor-trailer unitYRC Glen Moore, the company's nationwide truckload services provider (which also provides sleeper-team service for Reddaway customers to the East Coast), won the Safe Fleet Award in the national truck safety, general commodities truckload category for fleets traveling 50- to 100-million miles annually. It also received awards for best safety improvement in the national truck safety and national industrial safety categories. The Safety Management Council of the American Trucking Associations sponsored the competition.

IMS services index shows expansion

Eyeglasses lying on newspaperThe U.S. economy's service sector showed expansion in September for the first time in more than a year, according to the Institute for Supply Management. The monthly services index rose to a 50.9 reading from 48.8 in August. It was the first expansion in 13 months.

Tips to Make Your Life Easier

Redesigned reddawayregional.com pageLast month, we launched reddawayregional.com, our redesigned website, for information about our company, services and much more. While the tools remain the same, its new look makes it easier to navigate.

Users of the new site have responded to the site's survey, letting us know their experiences.

Here are a few tips:

  • If you are having problems viewing documents, your popup blocker may be the problem. You should either remove the blocker or allow popups from our site.
  • Wait to select Remember Me on the login page until after you change your temporary password.
  • If you have trouble accessing your personal account, reset your password. Simply access the login page, to go the login page, then click Forgot your Username and/or Password? and follow the prompts. If your email address has changed or you have trouble getting your user name or password, please email us.
    One other tip:
    if several people share the same login, remember to communicate internally when you change your password . . . or just set up individual logins.
  • To change your profile settings to edit content information, change preferences, add/remove locations and request additional service provider access, just click Your Profile on the top menu. From there, select the profile function you would like to edit, then save your changes.
    Note: one of the most-used functions under Your Profile is Preferences. You can set defaults for Quick Tools View and change the way you view tracking results. Try it out!

Utah safety supervisor of the year

Reddaway's Mark Moats and Reddaway tractor-trailerWe take safety very seriously. That's why we're pleased to announce that the Utah Trucking Association named Reddaway Inter-Mountain Division Safety Manager Mark Moats as its Utah safety supervisor of the year.

With Mark's guidance during 2008, our Reddaway Inter-Mountain Division reduced injuries by 25 percent and accidents by 14 percent. These results are continuing in 2009 with injuries and accidents to date down an additional 28 percent and 37 percent, respectively.

Mark's recognition is the most recent example of our commitment to safety. As a leader in next-day service, our drivers and dock professionals handle heavy shipments and powerful equipment.
